PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an automatic supplying device for a container for food capable of coping with a change in kind of the size of the container for food and quickly supplying large quantity of containers. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a shuttle conveyor 1 capable of continuously transferring a plurality of containers and a container carrier means B for receiving the supply of the containers from the conveyor 1 and carrying the containers. The containers on a termination movable part 1' of the conveyor 1 can be supplied to the container carrier means B by retreating the movable part 1'. The container carrier means B has a bottom plate 29a for placing the containers supplied from the termination movable part 1' and is constituted of a pair of guide rails 29 and 30 for regulating width direction positions of the containers and a carrier conveyor 3 capable of carrying the containers placed on the bottom plate 29a in a carrying direction. The carrier conveyor 3 is provided with partition pieces 28a and 28a' which are engaged to back faces of the containers placed on the bottom plate 29a and carry the containers in the carrying direction at every fixed interval along the carrying direction.
