PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely retain a compressor temperature detecting sensor even at a high temperature by an annular metallic sensor retaining plate. SOLUTION: In a compressor temperature-detecting sensor, the inner diameter of an annular metallic sensor retaining plate 18 for retaining a sensor main body 141 so as to be contacted closely to a compressor is specified so as to be smaller than the maximum profile of caulking of a detecting surface protecting metallic plate 142 as well as the maximum profile of a terminal 143 but larger than the profile of the sensor main body 141, formed so as to have a cylindrical configuration. Further, the compressor temperature detecting sensor is constituted so as to be retained while being contacted closely with the compressor by a method wherein the inner periphery of the metallic sensor retaining plate 18 is abutted against the cylindrical caulking part of the detecting surface protecting metallic plate 142 and the outer periphery of the same is contacted closely with a part of a terminal protecting cover of the compressor.
