PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an image-forming device which can provide an image-forming device safely in a short time with high reliability and manufacturing yields by suppressing the discharge of the image-forming device, and also provide the image-forming device manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the image-forming device is as follows: a rear plate 1 on which the electron emission elements are mounted and a face plate 11 on which the image-forming members are mounted are arranged facing each other; an image is formed by applying a voltage between the rear plate 1 and the face plate 11; an electric field is applied on at least either the rear plate 1 or the face plate 11 with a high-voltage source 150 and a cleaning electrode 120, and at the same time physical impact is given on at least either the rear plate 1 or the face plate 11 by a plate-like piezoelectric vibrator 101.
