PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce both a size of a vehicle body and injury value of an occupant by realizing a preferred reduction in an occupant deceleration at collision. SOLUTION: A radially reduced bending part 10a is arranged at a middle part of a propeller shaft 10, a bearing support is carried out at a vicinity of the bending part, and a transmission member 11 and a seat 4 integral with seat belt are connected to each other via a pull rod 13 guided by a guide tube 14. When the propeller shaft 10 is bent at collision, the transmission member is displaced, whereby the pull rod is pulled and the seat moves backward to thereafter abut against a buffer member 15. Accordingly, the preferred reduction in the occupant deceleration at collision is realized, and the seat is moved backward by a bending deformation of the propeller shaft. Thus, the above- described movement of the seat is realized with a simple structure, a vehicle compartment for mounting the passive safety device is prevented from narrowing, and the size of the vehicle body provided with the passive safety device can be reduced.
