PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waistband capable of affording well-dressed appearance without requiring much labor. SOLUTION: This waistband 1 comprises a main part 8 and a core material 11, wherein the main part 8 is formed in a band-like fashion using a flexible cloth material 3, while the core material 11 is made of a flexible material with shape retainability greater than that of the cloth material 3 and set wrappedly with the cloth material 3 nearly at the central site 8a in the longitudinal direction of the main part 8 so as to cover almost the full area in the transverse direction of the main part 8.
