PURPOSE: Provided is sea-island type conjugated fiber which is characterized by having excellent heat stability, section forming ability, raising ability and dissolution of sea ingredient and being possible to produce warp knit fabric having excellent touch and appearance. CONSTITUTION: The sea-island type conjugated fiber is comprised of: copolymerized polyester having alkali dissolution as sea ingredient; and polyester having polyethylene terephthalate, a main repeat-unit as island ingredient. Physical properties of the sea-island type conjugate fiber are as follows: 5deg.C <= softening temperature of the island ingredient(Tmi)-softening temperature of the sea ingredient(Tms) <= 15deg.C; 235deg.C <= softening temperature of the sea ingredient(Tms) <= 245deg.C; and 2.0wt.% <= content of diethylene glycol(DEG) in the sea ingredient(based on terephthalic acid or ester derivative thereof) <= 4.5wt.%.
