The device has a surface for making electrical contact with surface of another device, whereby the surface consists of a previously metal-coated strip material. The surface of the device is in the form of at least part of the surface of a plug or post contact or plug pin or component connection or solder tag or earth plate or cooling vane. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of making an electrical contact between a surface of one device and a surface of another device.
