The invention relates to a high-speed electric machine, especially provided in the form of an asynchronous motor, comprising a rotor (10), which is rotatably mounted by means of a rotor shaft (11) and which is provided with a rotor active part (12). Said rotor active part is cooled by axial cooling channels (17, 18), which are located between the rotor shaft (11) and the outer periphery of the rotor active part (12), and to which a gaseous cooling medium, especially cooling air, is supplied from at least one face of the rotor (10). An improved cooling is achieved in a machine of this type by virtue of the fact that the supply of the cooling medium from the face of the rotor ensues via at least one gas guide ring (25), which is integrated inside the rotor (10), and which comprises guiding and accelerating means (20) that act in a radial direction. |
