The object of the invention is to provide a battery holder wherein a battery can be securely held to solve the problem that a battery falls out of the battery holder because the battery is not held in a cut-out part provided to the battery holder on which a fingertip is put when the battery in the battery holder is extracted. An opening as well as first and second preventive parts are provided to an upper wall of a case body, a hole communicating with space is provided to a side wall of the case body, the hole is located on the second preventive part side, a button-type battery is inserted into the space from the opening, a first terminal is elastically touched to a circular side, the button-type battery is pressed in a direction of the circular side, the button-type battery is touched to a circumferential wall, a second terminal is elastically touched to one flat surface of the button-type battery, the button-type battery is pressed in a direction of the other flat surface of the button-type battery, is touched to inner faces of the first and second preventive parts and is housed in the space, when the button-type battery is extracted from the case body, it is moved against an elastic contact force of the first terminal via the hole, prevention by the second preventive part is released and the button-type battery can be extracted from the opening.
