PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of simple structure, reduced in the number of part items, operated easily, and of which the contact is separable from an insulator. SOLUTION: A condition where a plug connector 1 is engaged with a receptacle connector 11 is indicated, a protrusion 4C of each lance 4 provided in the plug connector is locked to a recess 3A of each contact 3 in the plug connector, and the tip of each contact 13 of the receptacle connector is inserted into a hole 3B of the tip of the each contact 3. When a current flows in each heater wire 5, a shape memory alloy 4A in the each lance 4 is heated to be deformed into a predetermined shape. The protrusion 4C in each locking part 4B is thereby separated from the recess 3A in each contact 3. Resultingly, the each contact 3 is extracted from the insulator 2 of the plug connector.
