PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet capable of forming an image with picture, especially painting-like hand and feeling while maintaining sufficient color reproducibility and quick-drying properties. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet with an ink receiving layer containing at least a pigment formed on one of the sides of a support, the support is a paper containing a non-wood pulp and the basis weight of the sheet is 180 g/m2 or more. In addition, the density of the sheet is preferably 0.3-0.6 g/cm3, and the pigment of the ink receiving layer is preferably a vapor phase process silica, from the viewpoint of the way it should be. Further, the coating build-up of the layer is preferably 5-30 g/m2. |
