PURPOSE: To solve such a problem that a U-shaped wave dissipating space protrusively provided on the bottom of a wave dissipating device receives the resistance of waves to rock the wave dissipating device even by a small wave, not to mention a large swell, so that a sufficient wave dissipating effect can not be obtained, in a known wave dissipating device for speedboat race field comprising a plurality of triangular cross-sectional race level-side wave dissipating bodies connected through a link to fall a wave climbing over the surface plate of a course-side wave dissipating body into the U-shaped wave dissipating space to suppress it with rolling, guide it into water through a wave dissipating opening on the bottom, and also guide and dissipate one not dissipated and climbing over the surface plate of a wharf side hollow body to the wharf side. CONSTITUTION: In this wave dissipating device with a cushion part for speedboat race course, a course-side and wharf-side substantially bevel-like cross-sectional hollow bodies of a same structure are symmetrically connected, except the horizontal surface extending from the rear end of a wave falling surface to constitute a wave dissipating body. Accordingly, a wave is guided into the course-side substantially bevel-like hollow body through a substantially sawtooth-like wave dissipating stepped part and a wave falling opening, and fallen into water to dissipate, whereby large waves (swell) and small waves can be effectively dissipated.
