SOLUTION: This device where a light guide plate where light guides surrounded by reflection faces are lined up and a light-receiving plate where light receiving/emitting elements are lined up are integrated. The light guide is tapered to the side of the light-receiving/emitting element, and the light guide and the light-receiving/emitting element are lined up on the same optical axis. The light guide plate is of a structure with protuberant light guides being lined up. The electrode on the side of light reception and emission of the light- receiving/emitting element is arranged around the light-receiving/emitting face, and it is desirable that the end face part of the light guide and the light- receiving/emitting part of the light-receiving/emitting element be connected with each other. It is desirable that the joint be sealed with a flexible light transmitter. It is desirable that the light-receiving/emitting device be of a structure such that not only full-surface use but also partial surface use be made possible.
