PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for ink jet printing, which is simple and suitable for forming an excellent laminate without generating any fault, such as inflation or separation of an ink receiving layer, even when lamination is effected immediately after printing upon producing a printed matter with surface laminate processing. SOLUTION: The recording medium for ink jet printing is employed for an image formation wherein the printed matter 1a with surface laminate processing is obtained by heating and adhering a transparent film layer 1e onto the surface of ink receiving layer 1d of the recording medium 1b after ink jet recording. The ink receiving layer 1d contains 30% or more of polyvinyl alcohol as a binder constituent and, further, is constituted by adding a crosslinking agent for the crosslinking of polyvinyl alcohol molecules mutually. |
