RESIN COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a color filter which can reliably prevent the defective display phenomenon of a color liquid crystal display, can use various components and does not cause the increase of cost. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains at least a volatile component and a nonvolatile component, a constituent which adjusts the voltage retentivity of a liquid crystal subjected to impurity extraction treatment to >=60% and residual DC (ΔE) to <=0.6 V occupies >=50 wt.% of the nonvolatile component, and when a constituent which cannot adjust the voltage retentivity of a liquid crystal subjected to impurity extraction treatment to >=60% and residual DC (ΔE) to <=0.6 V is present in the nonvolatile component, the relational expressions [content (wt.%)]÷[voltage retentivity(%)]<0.1 (1) and [content (wt.%)]×[residual DC (V)]<5 (2) are separately established between the content of the constituent and voltage retentivity and between the content and residual DC.
