PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential magnetic sensor which can obtain a high accuracy even in the presence of a phase shift in outputs from differential detection coils and can meet increasing an excitation frequency without using an expensive differential amplifier. SOLUTION: In this differential magnetic sensor 1, two outputs 14a and 14b from the differential detection coils 141 and 142 are first detected by detectors 211 and 212, respectively. Then high frequency components are removed from the outputs by low pass filters 221 and 222. The outputs are inputted to a differential amplifier 23, where a differential output 23a (a difference of outputs 22a and 22b) is obtained.
