PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a high sensitivity, especially a high sensitivity to a characteristic in semiconductor laser wavelength range, voltage stability in repeated use and low in image defect, especially black macular fogging in inversion developing, and a phthalocyanine crystal capable of applying to the photoreceptor, and also to provide preparative method for the crystal, a process cartridge having the photoreceptor and an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: This phthalocyanine crystal includes the phthalocyanine and a (substituted) polycyclic hydrocarbon, and the preparative method for the crystal, the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer including the phthalocyanine crystal, the process cartridge having the electrophotographic photoreceptor and the electrophotographic device.
