PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically and quickly rotate a developing roller, with respect to an image carrier by securing the installation space of idler gears, without requiring large space in an electrophotographic image forming device. SOLUTION: Both ends of the drive shaft 10S of a drum type image carrier 10 are supported rotatably by right and left side plates 30P of a cartridge case 30 of a process cartridge 32. An image carrier driving gear 10G exists at one side of the image carrier and meshes with a first idler gear 44G. The gear 44G is provided rotatably on the one-side shaft end of a developing roller shaft 38S. A developing drive gear 38G is fixed at the shaft end, and the gear 44G is attached to the shaft end side. A second idler gear 46G meshes directly with the gears 44G and 38G. The rotation of the gear 10G is accelerated and transmitted to the gear 38G via the meshing of the gears 10G, 44G, 46G and 38G. |
