PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed forward amplifier realizing an operation by the power consumption of a necessary minimum. SOLUTION: In the amplifier using the FET of a class A operation, the generation quantity of IMD is monitored by a detection circuit 6. When the generation quantity of IMD is small, current flowing in the bias circuit of the FET in the class A operation, which is used by a main amplifier 1 amplifying a main signal 19 and an auxiliary amplifier 2 used for a 'distortion removal loop', is reduced and power consumption is suppressed by a control circuit 19.
