Support structure for metal coils (32) has a frame (10) made of U-shaped profiles. The front surfaces (30) of the coils are (in)directly supported on the lateral sides of the profiles. The links of the frame profile are provided with bores which act as guiding devices for a flowing medium. Preferred Features: The frame (10) consists of three frame bars (11) of the same length which form a triangular outline.
