An information providing system supplies information obtained through a telephone circuit system (wire or wireless) from any monitor means, such as a monitor camera (1), a monitor video, a temperature sensor (2), a sound sensor (3) and a smoke sensor, equipped in specific areas. When any information received from a caller, such as the telephone number, ID number and code number, agrees with one registered in a relay station, a control unit (4) operates monitor means set up in a specific area and agreed on by the caller, and sends the caller the information obtained from the monitor means through the telephone circuit.
