PURPOSE: A method for processing an R2 incoming call in a line switching system is provided to analyze a destination number received through R2 signal processing, to confirm whether it is a data call containing ISP(Internet Service Provider) information, transfer information to an ICPS and information for an RAS equipment, to separate the data call in case that it is the data call, and to connect the data call to an Internet traffic splitter so that outgoing processing for the data call cannot be executed. CONSTITUTION: If an incoming call requesting the seizure of an incoming trunk line is interfaced to a trunk interface part interfacing an originating switching system, the trunk interface part reports call generation for the incoming trunk line seizure request to a trunk control part(S101). The trunk control part hands over an incoming call processing control right to an incoming call processing control part. The incoming call processing control part accesses an R2 signal processing part and receives the destination number from the originating switching system(S102). Then the incoming call processing control part accesses a number translation part to request the analysis of the received destination number(S103). The number translation part analyzes the prefix information of the destination number, judges whether it is a data call for access to an Internet traffic splitter of a local switching system, and notifies the incoming call processing control part of associated information(S104). In case that it is judged that it is the data call, the incoming call processing control part requests the Internet traffic splitter side to allocate a channel according to ISP information, ICPS information and RAS equipment information supplied from the number translation part(S106). Then the incoming call processing control part judges whether an available channel to connect the current data call exists among all the channels allocated to the Internet traffic splitter(S107).
