PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically controlling a concentration of iodine in a zinc sulfate bath is provided which automatically measures and controls the concentration of iodine in the zinc sulfate bath in a method which is easy and not complicated. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for automatically controlling a concentration of iodine in a zinc sulfate bath comprises a mixer (4) for mixing a 0.5% starch solution supplied through a suction pump (3) with a plating bath in an electroplating solution tank (9); a UV measuring cell (5) for measuring a UV of a mixed solution coming from the mixer (4); a UV current transformer (6) transforming an absorbency measured from the UV measuring cell (5) into current; and an iodine concentration control setter (7) controlling a butterfly valve (14) installed on a pipe supplying the iodine solution to the electroplating solution tank (9) by the current values from the UV current transformer (6).
