摘要 A composition suitable for coating connectors in lithium ion batteries includes carbon fibers and electrically conductive particles coating the carbon fibers. The electrically conductive particles have an average particle size less than about 40 nm. Preferably, the average particles size is about 30 nm and has a specific surface area greater than about 1200 square meters per gram. Electrodes manufactured using a composition of the invention exhibit significantly improved electronic conductivity, in-cell capacity and cycling properties, generally thought to be due to enhanced binding properties that give an overall improved electronic conductivity.
