A device for dispensing a measured quantity of liquid or fluent material such as powder, comprises a measuring chamber 8 having an inlet member 6 and outlet member 7 and a valve member 9 arranged to be actuated so that in one position it closes the inlet and opens the outlet and, in a second position, closes the outlet and opens the inlet. The valve member 9 is formed by a ball made from an electromagnetic material and moved by means of a solenoid 12 into or out of engagement with the inlet or outlet members 6, 7. In order to vary the capacity of the measuring chamber the members 6, 7 may be moved within a casing 3 and locked by screws 6a, 7a. |
