PURPOSE: A transformer abnormal status detection system is provided to reduce the response time by detecting the hydrogen gas density of insulating oil. CONSTITUTION: The transformer abnormal status detection system comprises an insulating oil collection vessel(12), an inflow port(16) for flowing insulating oil into the vessel, a gas permeation membrane(18) installed to the rear of the inflow port and connected to insulating oil, a gas detection device(22) having a gas sensor(20) installed within the inflow port for detecting the transmitted gas density, a gas detection unit(14) installed to the rear of gas detection device and equipped with an air port(24), a heating unit(26) for maintaining the constant internal temperature of the gas detection device, and a control unit(26) for controlling the heating unit.
