<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior metal connector for a flat cable that ensures high contact pressure with the flat cable and resists the flat cable from being pulled out. SOLUTION: In a terminal of FFC 10 a conductive line 11 is exposed. A metal connector 20 comprises an elongated bottom plate 22, and an elongated top plate 23 opened from or closed thereto. The bottom plate 22 has two pairs of engaging protuberances 28, successively arranged from the front end. Both the bottom and top plates 22 and 23 are provided with wave-like portions 25. The top plate 23 has a front projection 30 formed in the front portion, and rear projection 31 formed in the rear portion. If the top plate 23 is closed to the bottom plate 22 with the terminal of FFC 10 arranged in-between, the front projection 30 penetrates the conductive line 11 embedded therein, and the rear projection too, so that high contact pressure is obtained as well as preventing the terminal from being pulled out.</p> |
