PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack for heavy weight capable of always retaining a lock pin to an appropriate operation position without unwillingly moving an elastic body for retaining the lock pin from a predetermined position. SOLUTION: A plurality of connection holes 3... are vertically disposed at a longitudinal line on a front side surface 2a of a pillar material at an equal interval. An angle type bracket 10 is welded to both ends of a lateral beam material 1 and connection studs 12, 12, a lock pin-appearing/retreating hole 13 and snap lock engagement stepped portions 14, 14 are provided on a front surface plate 11 thereof. Engagement portions 24, 24 are provided on one end of a snap lock 20 and are engaged with the engagement stepped portions 14, 14 to attach the snap lock 20 to the front surface plate 11. A lock pin 21 is projected from the lock pin-appearing/retreating hole 13. When the connection studs 12, 12 of the lateral beam material 1 are inserted into the connection holes at a desired height position, the lock pin 21 is automatically inserted into a lock pin-insertion hole 3 to restrict an upward movement of the lateral beam material 1.
