PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the wedge of an insert for construction and the insert for construction capable of being surely fixed into a concrete hole sufficiently though the insert for construction cannot be fixed into the concrete hole sufficiently because the outside diameter of the base section of the wedge of the conventional insert for construction is made smaller than that of the cylindrical body of the insert for construction, particulate matters in the concrete hole intrude from voids between the outer circumference of the base section of the wedge an the interior wall of the concrete hole to the outer circumference of the wedge, one end face of the cylindrical body is pressured together with the base of the wedge in the case of a strong percussion against the upper end of the insert for construction, the wedge cannot be fitted tightly into a hole at one end of the cylindrical body sufficiently and one end of the cylindrical body cannot be also expanded enough. SOLUTION: The wedge 3 of the insert for construction is inserted into a hole 2a at one end of a cylindrical body 2 installed at one end of the insert for construction, and the outside diameter of the base section of the wedge 3 is made the same as or larger than that of the cylindrical body 2.
