PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing liquid remaining in a dialyser or in a blood circuit after finishing dialysis treatment. SOLUTION: When a clamp 9 on the vein side is opened with a water removal pump 3 in operation, remaining liquid on the vein side is discharged from the top end 11 on the vein side. Then as the clamp 9 on the vein side is closed and a blood pump 7 is operated slowly, remaining liquid on the artery side is discharged from the top end 10 on the artery side. and during the processes, the hydraulic pressure is monitored by a hydraulic pressure sensor 6. When the hydraulic pressure is a prescribed value or higher, it is judged that the remaining liquid on the blood room side has been removed completely, and the removal of the remaining liquid on the blood side is finished. then a three- way electromagnetic valve 5 is opened and the remaining liquid on the dialysate side in a dialyser 2 is removed, so that the remaining liquid is almost nonexistent.
