PURPOSE: To obtain a decoding device, its method and a program providing medium, by which continuing property as a sound signal is kept and sound with high quality is decoded. CONSTITUTION: A convolution decoder 16 convolves and decodes a convolution encoding output from the side of an encoding device. An important bit group where an error inspecting code is added and kept as is and a bit group which excludes the important bit group are made to be a convolution decoding output. A CRC code comparison and frame mask part 15 compares a CRC inspecting code added to the convolution decoding output from the decoder 16 with a CRC differential inspecting code calculated from the bit group which excludes the important bit one and adjusts the convolution decoding output.
