PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indication method by visualizing cooking time of instant food for having after pouring hot water and leaving for a few minutes, indicator and its production method. SOLUTION: As a method for judging cooking time of instant food such as instant noodle for having after pouring hot water, color change of pigment including paper 2, which includes base ion or acid ion dissociated from alkali including paper or acid including paper 3 owing to steam, in a specific time by diffusion effect is used. The indicator is produced contacting or pressing and compressing a transparent adhesive film 1, pigment including paper 2, alkali or acid including paper 3, steam transmitting film 4, dew prevention material 5 and steam quantity controlling sheet 6.
