PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously record/reproduce input data of a high transfer rate by recording the input data of the high transfer rate in the outer periphery side medium of a disk recording medium and recording input data having a low transfer rate in the inner periphery side of a disk recording medium. SOLUTION: When a record command is inputted, it is judged by the expander of the name of a file to be recorded whether it is recording of data by a high transfer rate or recording of data by a low transfer rate. Therefore, in a hard disk device 1, in the case of recording data by the high transfer rate, that is, recording of an animation file, data from an AV device 2 is successively recorded in a cluster unit from the outer periphery side of a hard disk 3 which ca be accessed by the high transfer rate. On the other hand, for an inner periphery side of the hard disk 3 being hard to access data by the high transfer rate, data of the low transfer rate, that is, still picture data, text data, and the like are successively recorded from an inner periphery side.
