PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bell striking mechanism having taste by varying sound volume of a bell sound with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This bell striking mechanism 1 ringing a bell sound has a motor 3 fixed on a support base 4; an attachment hole 2a fixed on a driving shaft 3a of the motor 3, a bell 2 allowing variation of a distance from the driving shaft 3a to the outer surface of the bell 2 at a prescribed position by driving of the motor 3; a striking ball 5a at the prescribed position; and an flexible oscillation plate 5 reciprocally supporting the striking ball 5a. The motor 3 and the oscillation plate 5 are fixed to the support base 4 such that the striking ball 5a and the bell 2 are repeatedly contacted with and separated from each other by the driving of the motor 3. By varying sound volume of the bell sound with a simple structure, the bell striking mechanism having taste can be provided.
