PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp related information on an existent source program by automatically displaying related information corresponding to each character/phrase of a source program in a program displaying editor at the time of developing the source program. SOLUTION: A source analytic related information outputting device 2 given a source file 1 reads a source program to compile. At this time, items of identified variables, functions, modules, etc., are written in a related managing information file 3 in the form of a related source name→related destination name. A program developing person reads and displays the source program from the file 1 through the use of a program displaying editor 4, fits a cursor to the head of each character/phrase in a program, automatically calls a related information retrieving result outputting device 5 to read the file 3, retrieves with the name of the character/phrase selected by the cursor as a key, gathers information related with a matched item, starts a related information display device 7 and displays related information on the screen of a display device 9.
