The sleeve (10) is in the form of a stamped part made from a flat cut element and has an approximately cylindrical shaft (12) with a collar (14) joined to it in one piece that is formed as the contact surface for a fixing bolt. The collar rests on one end of the shaft, which is formed into a cylinder by bending of essentially rectangular section. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a strengthening sleeve.
