PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of temperature of circulating exhaust air in an exhaust air circulating type vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: In this vacuum cleaner, an exhaust air pathway B to circulate the exhaust air from a motor fan 5, together with an intake air pathway A, is formed in a hose 2, a pipe 3, and a suction tool 4 connected to the vacuum cleaner main body 1 with built-in motor fan 5. The vacuum cleaner also has a by-pass 56 for the exhaust air from the motor fan 5 to circulate to the exhaust air pathway B without using a motor 5 and a cooling fan 57 for cooling the motor 5.
