MAGNETOOPTICAL RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve low magnetic field recording without requiring any flying heads and complex servo. SOLUTION: A magnetooptical recording disk 1 with a wear-resistant protection film with a thickness of 0.0-50μm on the surface is rotated at a speed of 300-600 rpm, an advance side end part for at least the magnetooptical recording disk 1 is formed in a sculptured surface shape, and a magnetic head 3 where a magnetic field generation means is provided at a position being retracted from the maximum projection at the side of the magnetooptical recording disk is being slid for performing magnetic field modulation recording.
