PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker offering improve heating insulating effect and simplified disassembly and washing by using a removable vacuum double structure as a component of a cover. SOLUTION: This electric rice cooker includes a rice cooking mainbody 1 formed to store a rice container 5 to be removable and a cover 2 of the rice cooker mainbody 1. The cover 2 has a synthetic resin upper plate 30 forming the upper face and a vacuum double structure 31 having a vacuum space 39 between two upper and lower metal plates 37, 38 supported to be detachable from the upper plate 30 and joined at least at their outer peripheries. The heat insulating effect of the cover 2 is improved and the vacuum double structure 31, when removed, is washable.
