PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a stipulated movement distance by providing a flat and cylindrical body being freely rotatable in a transfer direction and a pedestal for mounting it and providing a movement stop means for stipulating the protruding width of the flat and cylindrical body from the pedestal in a transfer device to be used for moving a person to be cared. SOLUTION: This device includes the flat and cylindrical body 1 and the pedestal 2 for mounting it and the body 1 is disposed so as to be freely attachable/detachable to/from the pedestal 2. The movement stop means is provided, which is for stipulating the protruding width of the body 1 from the end part of the pedestal 2 when the body 1 is moved from the pedestal 2 in the width direction. The movement stop means is provided with a bar 4 stored in the body 1 and a groove 5 arranged in parallel with the width direction of the pedestal 2. When the person to be assisted is moved from a bed 7 to the pedestal 2, the protruding width of the body 1 from the pedestal toward the bed is stipulated by a position within the range of the width of the pedestal 2. The movement stop means is positioned at a little left side, for example from the center part of the pedestal 2.
