PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple structure to reduce the number of pieces of parts, and the trouble in assembling, adjustment and the like. SOLUTION: A frame driving mechanism 1 of a sewing machine comprises a rail basis extending in the longitudinal direction of the sewing machine, the rails 8, 9 mounted on the rail basis 7, a rear slide portion 10 and a front slide portion 11 simultaneously slidably supported on the rails 8, 9, and a slide driving mechanism 13 for longitudinally sliding and moving both slide portions 10, 11. The rail basis 7 is an integrally formed matter continuously extending in the longitudinal direction of the sewing machine, and the supporting rails 8, 9 respectively supporting the rear slide portion 10 and the front slide portion 1 are mounted on the rail basis 7.
