PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure reliable reclining operations of a seat back, while securing a large degree of freedom in the cabin lay-out. SOLUTION: A knuckle structure for setting any reclining position of a seat back 12 is interposed between a seat bottom 11 and the seat back 12 connected to the seat bottom 11 rotatably about the horizontal axis. The knuckle structure is provided with a knuckle plate 3, locking means 5, and operation means 6. The knuckle plate 3 relatively rotates about a connecting shaft 70 mounted on the seat bottom 11. The locking means 5 is mounted on the seat back 12 to lock or unlock the seat back 12 at a reclining position by engaging or disengaging with the knuckle plate 3. The operating means 6 for operating the locking means 5 is provided with an operating lever 61 extending outwardly from the locking means 5 and turning toward the knuckle plate 3.
