PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make technically simple and therefore advantageous in terms of cost the structure of an apparatus for movably holding an ultrasonic transducer with one acoustical axis when the apparatus is attached to a treatment head having means for generating acoustic waves converging to one focus, the apparatus having at least one member which rotates about the rotational axis of the apparatus. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transducer 8 can be attached to a member, at least indirectly, so that its acoustic axis A at least passes through almost the focus F of a medical treatment head 1 when an apparatus is attached to the treatment head 1, and so that its rotational axis B at least passes through almost the focus F of the treatment head 1 when the apparatus is attached to the medical treatment head 1.
