PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blended yarn having excellent bulkiness, forming loops from interlaced sites as starting points on the expression of self extension, and suitable for woven or knitted fabrics having suitable swollen touch and soft touch by blending and interlacing a self-extensive yarn with a thermally shrinkable yarn. SOLUTION: This blended yarn is obtained by blending (A) a polyester yarn having a dry heat (160 deg.C) shrinkage (SHD) of <=0%, a single filament fineness of <=5d and subjected to an interlacing treatment with (B) a polyester yarn having a SHD of <=30%, a differenceΔSHD of 5-30% between the SHD of the yarn A and the SHD of the yarn B and a single filament fineness of <=10d in an A/B weight ratio of 30/70 to 70/30, preferably 40/60 to 60/40, and then thermally treating the blended yarn, thus producing the interlaced blended yarn, wherein the yarn A is covered with the yarn B at the interlaced sites but forms loops from the interlaced sites as starting points in the non-interlaced sites. The blended yarns are used for producing a knitted or woven fabric.
