PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cylinder block high-rigidity structure for suppressing rigidity lowering following lightening, also the vertically-directional deformation of a main bearing cap in particular. SOLUTION: Each rigidity of a boss part partitioning wall 11 and an outer side upper partitioning wall 121 over from the lower deck 4 in outside an outer side partitioning 12 to a main bearing cap matching surface 5 is increased comparered with that of an outer side lower partitioning wall 122 and an inner side partitioning wall 13; and in concrete the respective thicknesses of the walls 122 and 13 are made to have the lowest thickness as a casting, to make the respective thicknesses of the walls 11 and 121 thicker than those of the walls 122 and 13, and also the thickness of the wall 121 is made 0.5-1.0 times that of the wall 11.
