PURPOSE: A method for compensating initial vertical and horizontal positions of television screen is provided to minimize deviation by accumulating sampling data on the EEPROM device. CONSTITUTION: A method for compensating initial vertical and horizontal positions of television screen include first thru forth steps. At the first step, initial data is inputted into an initial set and vertical and horizontal positions are compensated. At the second step, the compensation data from the first step is read and inputted as a data of a control set, and the vertical and horizontal positions are compensated. At the third step, the compensation data from the first and second steps are added and divided by 2, which result in a new compensation data. At the forth step, the compensation data from the third step is inputted to the next step, and the vertical and horizontal positions are compensated.
