PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use an existing two strand wire rolling equipment by introducing a slit rolling method to two wire rolling equipment, setting an upstream side to one strand and rolling a billet in a continuous rolling method. SOLUTION: A slit rolling method to a finish rolling mill line 4 (or intermediate rolling mill line 3) of two strand wire rolling equipment is introduced. The major equipment of a continuous rolling equipment 10 are arranged to the upstream side of a rough rolling mill line 2. The slit rolling is done by the finish rolling mill lines 4, No.14-No.16, while depending on the cross sectional shape of a rolling stock, the rolling stock is longitudinally separated by a moving type support roll device 16 to be branched/sent to respective block mills. Thus, by setting the upstream side to one strand, continuous rolling is made possible. Further, by adopting a continuous rolling method, the product of any coil weight can be produced regardless a billet weight, further a number of the upstream side rolling mills can be reduced by 1-2 each.
