PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner, carrier, and developer from entering the rotary member of a developing device and scattering out of the developing device and to prevent the toner and so on entering the rotary member of the developing device from melting from frictional heat and fixing firmly and locking the rotary member. SOLUTION: A developing device is provided in its bearing housing 103 with a toner discharge port 104 for discharging toner entering a bearing member 100 from a sealing member and is further provided with a brush-like sweeping member 105. By the easy discharge of toner entering the bearing housing 103, nonconformities such as causing toner to scatter out of the developing device or to fix firmly and lock a rotary member 4 can be prevented. |
