PURPOSE: A strapping apparatus is provided to improve efficiency on the use for charging of a storage battery. CONSTITUTION: A strapping apparatus is composed of a tension device for giving tension to a band, connected with a tension driving device to be operated, a hermitic device for sealing both ends of the band and plural rewinding locks for fixing the band to the strapping apparatus. Herein, the tension device having a locker(37) facing a tension wheel(30) is supplied, and the locker capable of turning to a locker shaft is installed. In addition, the tension wheel and locker are designed with a method to move toward each other so that the band is fixed between the locker and the tension wheel and is settled on the tension wheel in an angle of being widely wound up. Furthermore, a gap is formed between the tension wheel and a direct angle type roller, and the band to be tensed is inserted in the gap. The tension wheel is hung on a catch(44) during rotational movement of a reverse clock direction. Thereby, the catch is converted in a clock direction to go to a different end position, and the tension wheel drops to the locker.
