PURPOSE: A coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing equalizer is provided to reduce a channel estimate noise by controlling a filter band width to a channel state. CONSTITUTION: The coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing equalizer comprises: an error calculator(402) for calculating a difference between a signal input to a frequency axis interpolator and a signal output to the frequency axis interpolator; a sampling device(403) for sampling the output from the error calculator to a predetermined sampling period; an error accumulation memory(404) for accumulating the pre-value together with the sampled data to each location; a mean square error calculator(405) for receiving the mean value by time area at sampling location and calculating a mean square error at the frequency location to generate a final estimate value; a filter coefficient generator for controlling a filter band width by comparing the final estimate value and the predetermined value.
